The Space Economy is increasingly shaped by the interplay of technological innovation, industrial policy, private investment and new business models. As new players enter the market and commercial applications continue to expand, the sector is opening up new opportunities for businesses and investors while also raising legal and regulatory questions that are becoming increasingly important to its future development.
Against this backdrop, “Space Economy: emerging markets and new legal frontiers” will take place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 4:30 PM at Luiss Business School in Milan, Italy. The event is organised by act legal, AndPartners Tax and Law Firm, Gebbia Bortolotto Penalisti Associati, Merani Amministrativisti and Parola Associati, five law firms bringing together complementary expertise across the different areas of law affected by the growth of the Space Economy.
Rather than approaching the Space Economy from a single perspective, the event will bring institutions, industry and legal professionals into the same conversation. The opening session will provide an institutional perspective on the sector and its development. The second session will give the floor to companies operating across different areas of the space ecosystem and related services. The final panel, dedicated to law and regulation, will explore the legal issues emerging alongside new technologies, business opportunities and market dynamics.
For companies, start-ups, investors, professionals and institutional stakeholders active in the space sector, the event will offer an opportunity to gain a cross-sector view of the transformations underway, hear directly from institutional and industry representatives, and explore how market development and regulatory evolution are increasingly interconnected. It will also provide a setting in which to exchange perspectives and build new connections across the space ecosystem.
The discussion will be moderated by Antonio Lo Campo, a journalist specialising in aerospace, and the event - held in Italian language - will conclude at 7:00 PM with a networking cocktail.
The event will take place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, starting at 4:30 PM, in person at Luiss Business School in Milan (Italy), Via Pietro Maroncelli 16, with access from Via Maurizio Quadrio 17.
Participation in the event is free of charge, subject to prior registration via the dedicated online registration form.
