World Space Business Week 2022: applications are open to the Finspace start-up pitch competition

June 20th, 2022
Eight selected start-ups will pitch their companies during the 2022 edition of the World Satellite Business Week, taking place on September 12-16, 2022 in Paris and online worldwide.

Taking place every year in the very heart of Paris and online, the World Satellite Business Week brings together the industry decision-makers from all over the world and from the entire ecosystem. The event is considered by many the place where business leaders can gain market insights, network, conduct business and conclude major deals.

The event brings together an outstanding balance of actors from the international community, with all levels of the value chain represented across its subsequent events, including tracks on Satellite Communications, Earth Observation, Enterprise Connectivity and In-Flight Entertainment Connectivity.

Launched in 2017 as part of the World Satellite Business Week, the Finspace pitch initiative recognizes and celebrates the most promising start-ups and forward-thinking innovators and disruptors across the entire space and satellites value-added chains.

In 2022, 8 start-ups will be shortlisted and invited to pitch their companies in front of hundreds of leaders and decision makers of the global space and satellite sector during this year's edition of the World Satellite Business Week, taking place on September 12-16, 2022 in Paris and online worldwide.

Following on-stage pitches, two awards consisting of €5,000 worth of Euroconsult market intelligence data will be presented to two finalists during dedicated Award ceremonies, as part of the Summit for Satellite Financing and the Summit on Earth Observation Business. Moreover, Finspace is more than just an award: it's a unique opportunity to get exposure in the industry, discuss, network and seek out future partnerships.

Finspace accepts applications from a broad area of market sub-segments, such as:

  • Satellite operators

  • Value-added services

  • Subsystems and components

  • Ground segment

  • Satellite manufacturer

  • Access to space

The above categories are not exhaustive and are meant to only guide the application process, as every emerging commercial player of the satellite industry is welcome to apply for Finspace.
